Gunners Branch Local Park — Attraction in Germantown

This is a beautiful place to walk. There is sun and shade which makes your walk bearable even on a hot day. It is dog and kid friendly. It is a paved walk, but you do have to be careful of tree roots. There are plenty of things to see along the lake such as ducks, geese, turtles and I've even seen a blue heron. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables too. My husband has a walker and it is great for him too! It is a gem for sure! There are always people around so you feel safe walking here anytime before...

Very nice man made urban lake. Parking is on Wisteria, not in neighborhoods. There is a well maintained flat trail around the lake with a few bridges over creeks and not much gradient. Lots of nature stuff like bat houses, bee houses and bird boxes. If you like ducks... This is the spot for you. Plenty of dog "stations" and LOTS of benches for resting and bird watching. Very good walking, cycling track around the Lake. It has good greenery around the track. Very well maintained. It takes around 30 to 40 minutes to complete one round depending upon the one's walking speed. It's maintained in way to have the natural habitat for birds and little animals.
