Crescent Creek Park — Attraction in Gig Harbor

Fun public park for kids with a large open grassy area (for Frisbee, picnics etc) picnic pavilion, safe local themed playground equipment, and a huge sandbox area. Cute little nature walk with overlook by creek. Natural climbing and play elements. Park is mostly fenced /hedged in. Playground area is fully fenced in to keep kiddos safe from wandering off. Several tables / benches for parents while kids play.Good parking, EXCEPT for when there is little league at the fields nearby (usually only an issue after 4pm). This is a great park for younger children. The large sandbox is always a hit, as is the swings and the big tugboat to climb on. It's fully fenced and includes a huge, grassy field, which is also fun to run around in and pick daisies or crunch leaves, depending on the season. Nice bathroom that is always clean is nearby. On our most recent visit, the playground was roped off for a certain period of time and there was no obvious reason why. It was the nicest day of the year so far, so that was a disappointment. Absolutely mystical. A totem that makez any northwesterner proud to be native, a play area that makez any dad feel like tha pirate captain of a glorious future (where tha little greenhornz don't hurt themselvez getting washed off tha deck).
