Lovely park, however, if you have a small dog, please be aware there are definitely coyotes, though there are no signs. There are signs by Dunkerhook Area entrance, but these parks are connected.
The other evening, I tried to make it back to my car from the park before sunset, & on my way there, I saw two near the car entrance/exit of Glen Rock Duck Pond (onto road). This was a somewhat well lit, open space area by the way. They probably came out bc my dog was walking behind me, his leash is 16ft long, & they likely thought he was alone. When I saw them approaching, I called my dog who came running towards me. Focused on my dog, once he reached me, I looked back up and they disappeared. Pretty scary. Read moreThis park has a looping road around pond in the middle which makes for a great place for people walking and bicycling of which there are many here.
Upon itself has a walkway that goes out over the water about 25 feet which widens at the and to give fisherman their own spots to fish. There's also a white pipe that comes up on the deck to put your old fishing line and instead of throwing it in the garbage or leaving it on the ground.
The pond also has a fountain in the middle which keeps the water circulating so that it doesn't become stagnant. Especially necessary with all the geese flying in and out of here.
You can park in several spaces including one in the front and one close to the dock in the back.

Large mouth bass, carp, catfish, leopard turtles, a huge snapping turtle, a cormorant, and innumerable Canada geese added to the park's nature feel. And the humans are just as diverse.
