A small but very nice park with a newer playground, a restroom building, lots of open lawn areas (and picnic tables) and plenty of mature shade trees. The park is also (mostly) enclosed by a wall/fence, which is a nice treat given that most Glendale parks lack fencing. The playground was replaced a few years ago and has plenty of equipment for all ages (though because it has wood chips underneath it certainly is not a universally accessible playground). Street parking only but there is always a spot nearby (they really really need a sidewalk on the park side of the street). The fact it only has a half court basketball court is disappointing. Tennis courts are never too busy....

I know there are signs saying "no Ball Games" and I get they don't want soccer or football teams using the park as a practice field... but when I needed space for my child to work on their goalkeeper skills I was blown away that a neighbor came over and told us to stop. My child wasn't kicking the ball - I was rolling it to them or throwing it at them. There wasn't any way the ball was going anywhere. Again I get they don't want teams showing up - but when it's one kid and no kicking - come on. It's a nice...
