I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning incident at Golden Farm Store in Glendale, brought to my attention by a disabled woman with type 2 diabetes who resides in the city.
According to her statement, she was verbally threatened and abused by an employee, described by multiple community members as a “big guy” known for aggressive behavior. During the incident, this employee used an intimidating and abusive tone, repeatedly threatening to call the police and telling her she was no longer welcome to shop at the store—without providing any valid explanation.
This verbal attack caused her extreme emotional distress, triggering a dangerous drop in blood sugar. As a result, her heart rhythm was affected, she lost control of her vehicle, and was involved in an accident shortly after leaving the store.
Her family, who are highly attentive and supportive, later reviewed her shopping receipt and even created a video showing her purchased items one by one to confirm she had not taken or stolen anything. This evidence clearly refutes the false accusations made against her.
As an advocate for elders and individuals with disabilities, I conducted a preliminary survey in the community and received additional reports from other shoppers who experienced similar aggression from the same employee.
False accusations and verbal abuse toward vulnerable community members not only cause serious harm to individuals but also damage trust in local businesses. In this case, the consequences could have been fatal.
I respectfully request that the City of Glendale’s auditing and regulatory departments investigate this matter immediately. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this report to higher authorities to ensure accountability and community safety.
Respectful, responsible, and compassionate business practices are essential for long-term success in our city. This type of behavior has no place in...

Read moreThe customer service manager is the rudest ever!! I keep shopping from this market, but today one of the cashiers with short curly black hair, gave me a rude sarcastic attitude since I asked for a bag, as I paid with Food Stamp, & I told her why you’re giving me such attitude, which she ignored with looking the other way!! I asked for the guy who is the manager (I’d never talked to him before) but he said that he’s busy & can’t talk to me & adviced to call him later; although their phone number which is on google map doesn’t ever picked up with no voicemail option. Finally after waiting & looking for him I found him & told him the story & his face was very ignoring & at the end he said with a shouting voice: “I’m gonna FIRE her”. I said no need to fire her of course, if you’re making fun of the issue (which he obviously did); But you could talk to her, then he said: “I’m gonna FIRE her because she works here & DOESN’T HAVE EBT” & then he left. I didn’t know having Food Stamp/EBT is a thing that allows people to insult you. Why they offer bags with that card if it bothers them that much??? Such a horrible customer service who doesn’t care about...
