River Run and my company for years helped a local charity with their computer program ( See Fred Knueppel's review ). Their new marketing director decided that helping the community wasn't worth it. Instead of continuing the program they chose to sell the pc's ( from their clients ) to a recycling competitor for profit. PC's that clients once got a tax write off on and helped someone with a disability get a new computer.
During our partnership I heard several River Run clients complaint about over billing, techs goofing off at their site and just gross incompetence in network configurations for their business.
River Run never once came to the warehouse to confirm data and recyclables were being correctly handled. They claim to be a green caring company but could care less about the environment, the community and their clients. Rather than use a company certified by the state DNR for handing ewaste they picked one that gave them top dollar for their clients used goods. No more tax tax deductions for their customers, no more using a certified company, no more helping the community and people with disabilities. Just profit for River Run! Screw everybody else. All the while still using our company to provide free pickups at sites with items of no value. Shady and deceitful. That's the River Run today. Have since sold the company and moved on but before I close the account wanted to let everyone know not to "Run with Riverrun" or you'll regret it.
Where does your personal data go? Where do your old PC's go? River Run doesn't care. To China? As long as they get $$$ it...
Read moreWe used them for several projects which they did well on. However, for ongoing emergency type work they did not respond well. In fact, they often seemed to "stumble around" like they knew neither our system nor our process...even though they installed the server. Further, when they were confronted by their poor support with an issue, they failed to respond to either the email or the phone call. Then when we had an emergency problem that needed quick response...they were nonchalant and didn't call back. Lacking professionalism from this point of view. Their response varies widely based on the staff that are assigned to the task....
Read moreFirst off, Ian was friendly, pleasant, relatable, and patient with me. This is always nice when you're dealing with technical issues.
Second, he answered all of my questions, both related to the direct issue, as well as tangential/unrelated tech questions, to help fill the time while he was troubleshooting and working on the fix.
Third, he fully resolved the ticket issue I entered and helped me ensure I didn't have to submit a different/new ticket for a related matter, before exiting the call.
Courteous and engaging throughout. Great job and...
