it was my first time on this trail and it was better than I expected. there was a long section of the road where it's closed to vehicles so you can take a bike or a walk without having to worry about vehicles coming from behind. The feel of accomplishment is unbelievable once you reach Mt Baldy.

really nice trail!! lots of parking (dirt turnouts) along the main road, was not difficult at all. the trail is easy to follow and the top vista point is pretty impressive! the decline (mystic canyon) is very steep so be careful. also would recommend bringing water since it gets hot in the summer.

It was a warm day but we went early that morning. We enjoyed the sun and the fresh air very much. There were times we felt the breeze and the water sound of the little stream. There are about 7-8 water crossings and everyone just loved the fun of them.

Not a strenuous hiking trail but it's long enough and has a good enough incline to make for a solid round-trip workout. Plan on 1.5 hrs roundtrip with time to stop to take pics. Roundtrip distance is about 4.7 miles from the gate on GMR to the Mystic Cayon upper marker with the flag, and back. The trail continues even further up around the back of the Punk Out peak though (that round trip hike is about 7.7 miles) Beautiful views. Take a flashlight if you are out near sunset, the canyon gets dark fast. Watch for mountainbikers... It's a single track route and they...

Overall it was a nice hike. Parking is limited to 10 more or less. The trail starts off ok but people who dont clean up after their dogs ruins it. Trail is mostly rocky and lined with tall grasses for the first half mile or so. As you go up the trail clears and the pace of ascension was not much. 1mi plus in you are rewarded with a view of Glendora between the valleys. Our first time there. Lots of mountain bikers were on the trail...

Be prepared for bugs this time of year, spray your pets for ticks before and after the hike and spray yourself (make sure what is used on pets is for pets) there's a tire swing down the trail after awhile and it does go pretty deep but it's worth it and absolutely beautiful. There's a bend where you can park. To hike go up the main road along the rail and the entrance is at the end of the rail/ before next...
