We ended up at this one when we couldn't find parking for a different, waterfall hike down the road. The views were cool but we had no idea how long the trail ran or if we'd actually see a creek (apparently you see it a mile 5 but we turned back at mile 3). I'm willing to try to make it to the creek next time. It was all incline so doggo struggled a bit but we appreciated the exercise. We also saw volunteers coming up to clean/clear the train up on our way down so that was cool(:

It is a great place to start your hike. They have redone the signs, trailhead and parking surface. This is my rest stop before heading up to Crystal lake Cafe. Please be kind and notice the care and work The Forestry Service and all involved have done here. I very much appreciate it. As you can see, it only takes a second to scorch the hillside. Heed Woodsie and Smokey's advice.

Very nice trail, it can be a little challenging for some people ( like me 😁 ) there's almost no flat sections but the view is amazing. The entrance is right next to the restroom, please keep it clean 🙏 it's so sad that a lot of the river is full of trash.

Well maintained trail with mild uphill grade through sagebrush, yucca, oak, and sycamore woodland. Trail winds gradually up several canyons providing interesting views far and near. Stopped at the saddle for a surprise view of recent fire. We encountered few people on this post thanksgiving...
