The Maxwell Center — Attraction in Goldsboro

We hosted my Mom’s surprise birthday party at The Maxwell Center, and while the venue itself was perfect—spacious, well situated right across from the hotel, and beautifully set up—it was the event coordinator, Delandria, who truly made the experience unforgettable.

From the very beginning, she went above and beyond in working with my Dad and me to create the perfect event. She kept in constant communication, thoroughly answering every question and concern we had. When our guest count kept fluctuating, she remained patient and flexible, offering multiple layout options and reworking the setup several times without ever making us feel like an inconvenience. Her friendliness and professionalism made the entire planning process so much easier.

The night of the event, she (and the IT tech) worked closely with my family to ensure the room and tech was setup to our liking. She even added light-up bar tables in our color scheme, which gave the room a more upscale vibe.

What we appreciated most was Delandria's willingness to step in to help us pull off the actual surprise—she served as our lookout, escorted my parents to the room, and held the door so all of us could focus on the actual moment.

Excellent Venue with room to spare for what we needed. On the expensive side; yet worth it, if you consider the facilities. The staff was helpful, courteous, ready to answer questions & opened right at the agreed time for us, with no fuss. 🙌 We saw a gorgeous wall of paintings done by the Students of a nearby College, wow; are they good! Thanks for the opportunity to share with Family, Friends & Co-Workers in Faith, we had a wonderful time, with an afternoon Concert, God's Word as the Main Dish & sharing with everyone that came!💞

Bathrooms needed a bit tending to, when it comes to toilet paper & tidying up a bit; so i went often to help with that, yet all in all; it was a beautiful moment in time...

My company recently held their annual Safety Rodeo here. After passing by each day and seeing it built from the ground up, I was really excited to finally get a chance to see inside and how everything turned out.
