If you have unforseen circumstances and can't attend classes then don't attend here because I had that problem back in 2011 and had to withdraw. I contacted my advisor for a week to let her know what was going on and no response back from her. I had all documentation showing the reason why I was unable to attend so I could see if they could help and still no response. They dropped the ball on me in trying to help me to see if there was anyway possible to continue or a way to withdraw. Now that I am trying to attend another college they will not release my transcript to the other college because I owe money for having to withdraw. I tried to keep up on my end by trying to contact someone to help me with the situation I was going through. The lady today told me that she didn't work there in 2011 so she didn't drop the ball, well you are a representative of Wayne Community College so yeah technically you didn't but you represent Wayne Community College and then she said that there is help for students who have unforseen circumstances but yet not for me back in 2011. Wow... Are you serious??? If they would have contacted me back in 2011 to help find some sort of solution then maybe I could continue my education. Education is the key now days and I can't even continue mine. Thanks Alot Wayne Community College. If I could give them no...
Read moreVery discouraging experience. I have been to this college 3 times trying to talk to someone and each time I have left with nothing .Today I left in tears. I asked to speak with a counselor. I was told "the information is online." I asked for a book with programs. Again I was told "you can find it online". Which is great but it is alot easier for me to look thru a book and decide what works best for me as I can mark where I am at and go back to it as I have young kids itS easier to look at a book then to look at a computer. I asked to talk to someone as I had questions regarding financial aid. I was told "we haven't received your info" I said OK I know my info and know it was sent to your school but I have some other questions as well. Again I was told "you can't meet with anyone until we have your FASFA info. Thank you for not helping a mother with 2 young children I will look at...
Read moreAs a parent I think the college was great in my daughters training but I also have issues with the school. My daughter attended the Dental Assistant program. Worked hard and was chosen Valedictorian of her class. She has worked with a Dentist for 2 years, top notch in her work ethics. She decided to go back for the Dental Hygienist program. I understand the program is competitive but not even being considered as one of your top notch students tells me not a lot of thought goes into applications most likely. I told her to go and discuss this issue. She has not and to this I find disheartening. Much time and effort and your school will not consider you?...
