I love putting in at Shaw Park. It's got a great little beach which makes getting on my SUP less messy especially with the pups. I think you can rent kayaks from the city of Gorham, but you should check their website to be sure. It's a great place to swim with kids or even do a couple laps across the river and back. I don't think I've ever seen a motor boat come through. Just lots of kayaks and small fishing boats. Lots of people jump off the bridge into the water (though I'm not so daring myself!). Additionally they have a wonderful little loop you can walk or run. Baseball fields and a little swing set. Portapotty is close to the river and there's a little shack with a bathroom that is sometimes open.

We had a great time here today! Free access to the water and parking, and canoes and kayaks for $7 an hour and paddle boards for $15 an hour. Paved trails for biking, rollerblading or whatever, and other trails for walking. The kids loved it! We will definitely be spending lots of time here this summer and for many more to come! Wish we had found this place sooner honestly, it's a great family spit and being free is a huge bonus for those on a budget.

Awesome spot to bring the whole family. The water is great for swimming when it's warm out and a fun spot to fish. Lots of little fish for the kids. Big field for sports, swings for the little ones and a nice jogging trail that goes across to Gambo fields and over the dam back to Shaw park. The Kayak and canoe launch is great! All around just a great spot with a little something for everyone.

Shaw park is nice. Bring your own kayak, canoe and paddle along the Presumscot River. I didnt see much wildlife yesterday, a hawk and some turtles. Usually theres a lot more going on. My daughter and i went for a 5 mile paddle total ride. Theres dams on each side, so be careful, be safe. Also there are areas with stumps we watch out ahead for those. It is a flooded area, so this is why theres so many stumps here. If youre a geocacher like me, theres supposed to be a...
