Also known as Shaw Park. I walk here often. It ties in with the Mountain Division Trail. At this park, 95% of the path is paved and perfectly suitable for strollers and bikes. On the side accessed from rte 237, there is a baseball field and access to canoe and paddleboard rentals at the rivers edge. The railroad spans the river and kids are often seen here swimming in the summer months. On the River road side, there's Gambo field soccer fields and access to Gambo damn where you may see some people fishing. On any given weekend you are likely to see entire families walking together. When there are ball games going on the place is teaming with people. Some just walking and some are there for the sporting events. There are community events held at Shaw Park also. Last year they put in a public boat launch on the Gambo Fields side. It's all around...
