We visited in late February 2020, while we were guests at the Grafton Inn. The Grafton Inn includes a free pass to their guests for access to the Grafton Trails and Outdoor Center. The pass even includes free rental of Nordic ski equipment. The equipment was brand new and performed flawlessly. The trails are well marked and the map seems quite exact. The trails were perfectly groomed. If you go toward the top, you will find the Big Bear shelter. The staff at the Trails and Outdoor Center are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable of the equipment, the trails, and getting people oriented. This is a great place to recreate.

What we thought would be a touristy snowshoeing/ wine and cheese experience turned out to be so much more. Betsy/Crystal our amazing guide, it was her final day before retirement and we feel so lucky to have experienced this day with her. Angie also was amazing, engaging and kind. THIS is Pure Vermont. Grafton is a slice of quintessential New England and the Grafton Trails and outdoor Center has it all. Ice-skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sleigh rides. Shout out to the “good boys” and the beautiful sleigh ride with Prince and Harry.

We did the wine and cheese snowshoe hike with Angie last week and it was the highlight of our trip! Angie was kind with my mother who was unsure she could complete the hike, super attentive and knowledgeable! The cheese was from local producers and delicious!!

If you're looking for a commercial ski resort vibe, THIS ISN'T IT. Instead, what you get at Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center is classic, memorable, local, small, neighborly, VERMONT. From being greeted by one of the friendly weekend employees, to being guided on a hike by one of the locals who've volunteered at the trails for decades... You'll have an experience like no other. Cozy up in the cabin by the fire after your snowshoe hike, snow bike run, cross country ski session, or tubing adventure, and enjoy some hot cocoa and a little treat from the snack counter. All equipment is available for renting, if needed. Get a half day or full day pass and try a few different activities! It is some work with no lifts or pulls, but that's what makes it just like the good old days... with a modern twist on the upgraded skis, snowshoes, tubes and bikes, etc. The staff does a fantastic job keeping things clean and...

While exploring the lovely town of Grafton, we came across the Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center. We were greeted with a great big smile from Angela Comstock, who spent a long time with us sharing information and details about everything Grafton. She is a wealth of information! Her enthusiasm for and dedication to the trails and activities is contagious; we cannot wait to get back to spend more time exploring and enjoying all there is to do in Grafton and the surrounding area. Angela made us feel right at home with her welcoming personality and abundance of knowledge. She is clearly a great asset to...
