With Mt Rainier rising to the north west of the lake, one might find it difficult to get good reflection shots of the mountain from that end. On the east end of the lake there is a raised sidewalk along the road that provides a slight elevation above the lake level and vegetation to get unobstructed reflections. A further short walk to the east of this lake are a couple smaller lakes which provide additional views.
There is ample parking split between two roadside lots, one toward the western end of the lake and one toward the eastern end of the lake. Larger vehicles, RVs and vehicles with trailers, may have trouble finding space. Small trails through the lakeside woods connect the two lots and allow one to find their perfect spot.
