Went to the Spring native plant sale here and everyone working it was kind, knowledgeable, and eager to help. What a haven of good spirited people running this place. The plants at the sale were extremely competitively priced, and they had such a vast variety! I found so many gems I can't wait to put in my garden. Many looked quite robust for young plants. Some were very small in the pot, but this could be because these native plants do not like to be transplanted like the modified ones at regular greenhouses- so giving customers a smaller plant will hopefully be more beneficial as it can then establish itself in your garden- not just in the pot. Read moreThis is my second safe place next to Babin Kuk, Dubrovnik, Croatia where I feel total serenity. This is the only place in Grand Rapids where I can feel lost without getting lost that does not feel like a park. You will have an adventure here. go off the path and you'll come across wild mushrooms, tons of toads, tiny frogs leaping throughout the forest floor, garter snakes, various species of birds, deer, squirrels and chipmunks, not to mention various species of trees, and all those botany geeks who like to identify different plants. You'll find it here. This is a complete self sustaining ecosystem. You can get over 6,000 steps (3+ miles) in here whether or not you stay on the path, even if you're a beginner. You'll feel supercharged, empowered, stress relieved and...

Could spend as little as 20 minutes walking through and as much as a couple hours taking in the sights, smells and sounds. Bring bug spray in the late...
