20250711 I drove around looking for the garden and a place to park my car. I managed to find the garden by comparing the map to Google maps. I ended up parking whew the big building across the Arboretum. The sculpture garden is located in the woods that's why I missed it when I drove by. I walked the trail and it looks like I found them all! The part of the garden on the other side of the bridge is very small.

This sculpture garden is a reflection of the life and spiritual thinking of St. Francis of Assisi. It was created by the efforts of an extraordinary sculpter Mic Carlson (pictured and Google Mic Carlson for more detail). Many individuals have donated their time and contributions to help make this happen. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and peaceful place. Great for walking, sitting down on numerous benches throughout to sit and reflect, pray or read tour Bible or a book. Various sculptures of St Francis Assissi, tablets with his story and many memorials of past loved ones. Great place to decompress and enjoy nature. No cost to enter.

This is a 10 acre ecologic urban forest preserve which is also a sculpture garden and a place to meditate or just commune with nature. It is run by a non-profit organization, Instruments of Hope, and is open without fees from dawn to dusk. Stick to the wheelchair accessible paths to avoid the poison ivy, and insect repellent may be useful at some times of the year. The St. Francis sculptures are by the internationally known local sculptor,...
