HIDE YOUR SHARING SIZE CHIP BAGS IN BETWEEN ALL YOUR OTHER BELONGINGS TO SNEAK THEM INSIDE. š
My family has been a fan of this waterpark for years now. We make the drive from Fort Worth because it's a hidden gem. It's affordable and perfect for smaller kids. With that being said, I had never had an issue until today. Their website reads "individual snacks" as a food item that is allowed inside. Family and I decided to bring a couple of sharing size bags of chips, hoping maybe we could bring them inside as they are "snacks." When we got there, I could have easily snuck them inside had I known they weren't allowed inside. However, I was honest when they asked to check my bags. The employee said they weren't allowed - that I could leave them at the ticket window or leave them in the car and come and go as we pleased. We decided to leave them with her as we were planning on buying food at the concession stand anyway, so we figured we could just get them back once we would leave. As the day went on, I started seeing other people just munching away on their big chip bags, their Tupperware full of food, and drinking out of their Sonic cups. So I decided to ask what the deal with that was - apparently people do sneak in food and they can't catch everything. And "individual snacks" means a "small bag of Goldfish." Okay, whatever. So I asked if I could bring in my chip bags as well? Or were the rules going to be enforced for everyone? Another employee said he'd walk around and check on things. I said okay, whatever. No big deal, I suppose. Well 15 minutes went by when he finally decided to make his round. By that time, these families had already finished their bags and put their stuff away. Except he walked past a teen who had a big ol' chip bag in his hands and wasn't told anything. At that point, I was over it as I watched people come in with coolers full of much more than "snacks." I will be returning despite what happened, but I now recommend the Hurst Central Aquatics Center if coming from the Fort Worth area. It's a little more expensive but food is welcome and it's bigger.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreA hidden gem! AFFORDABLE for the whole family! $3 per person for grapevine residents, $6 per person for non residents (our family of 5 was $30 for a HOURS of splash pad & pool fun!). And yes! You CAN come back that same day (make sure you ask to get your hand stamped on way out so you can come back in without paying again). Ideal for toddlers since 2/3 of it is meant for younger kids. Splash pad, chairs both with and without shade, toddler slide area shaded fully!, 1 ft, 2 ft, 3ft + gradual one pool. They DO have FREE life jackets to use while there in variety of sizes!! We brought our own not knowing but next time we won't to save on space / packing / hauling so much. Enough bathrooms (clean enough). About 4-5 Life guards on duty at all times rotating frequently doing their job properly. We are approximately 30 min away from here sadly or else we'd be here every other week! Definitely worth a try. If you want a cabana you'll have to pay for that. Seen 3 birthday parties here on a saturday. Pretty busy but no over crowded. Parking is packed though at 2-6pm! Might need to park far away. I didn't see an option to pay tickets in advance so we did have to wait in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis pool is always closing because of babies pooping in it and we constantly see the employees not doing their jobs. Sunday, June 30, 2024 a huge family came in. They all struggled in the water. Not one could swim. After several almost drowning attempts, a lifeguard finally saved the teen. They also attempted to dive into the 3 ft to which WE had to scream at them to NOT DO THAT. But we told the manager the younger one was in the pool in just his underwear. They never asked them to leave or anything. They were also letting kids go down the purple slide with life jackets. I donāt understand why nobody wants to do their job there? Also why do you let kids in that have their underwear as swimsuits and why do you allow babies to just have one swim diaper on? They should always have two and also a swim cover (the plastic ones on the inside) That same day there was also a small dog inside and near the pool edge. Just unexceptionable...
