Pineland Public Reserve Land Trailhead — Attraction in Gray

This is a nice trail running through the reserve. It is well blazed and fairly easy to follow, even in the snow. There is a spur leading to the royal river and the railroad tracks that I enjoyed walking to. The river looked nice covered in ice although it's not very big at that point. I had gone there hoping to cross country ski, but to do so you'd need a lot snow, 12" or more. The woods were nice to go through, either way and there are some really old trees...

Beautiful walk through tall old pines, with a conciderable amount of up and down trails. Unfortunately,we came across an unleashed dog,which acutely charged us before it was called off! Other than that...
