This one pains me to make because I love going to st vinnies just because of all the neat finds that I can find. However todays experience really changed the way I look at the place altogether.
I stopped in at about 2:15 and checked out at about 2:30-2:45. There were 2 men and one woman at the checkouts, and unfortunately I was stuck with the woman who judged me and made me insanely uncomfortable right off the bat. I understand at this time you were all very busy. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, I get it. Trust me.
But the way I was spoken to, belittled, and rushed out was absolutely disgusting.
Just brought up a few books after patiently waiting and was met nothing but blatant disrespect by treating me like I was a child and that my existence was an inconvenience.
Besides myself, I witnessed her treating multiple customers in the same demeanor DURING the transaction. Super uncomfortable experience. Maybe this person should stick to stocking shelves, because she did not know hospitality if it hit her in the face.
Maybe I’ll be back, maybe I won’t. Definitely not for a...
Read moreWhat’s with the tattooed woman at donation? We weren’t quite backed into the donation area yet, and she was put in the street shouting “We don’t take that” “We don’t take that”!! Our truck was loaded with a wooden bed and frame (which we were already taking to the Rehab store on Allouez) and a bunch of games and boxes of stuff we had for St. Vincent…..she was extremely rude (as was the older bearded man out there with her). We donate to St. Vincent often and certainly know what to drop off and what they won’t take and we certainly don’t need to be treated with such disrespect. They were both very rude and obnoxious. Sorry to see St. Vincent had to stoop to hiring such helpers of poor people skills and worse character. Hopefully we won’t be stuck dealing with these inconsiderate employees on our next...
Read moreTrash. Totally picked over by the vultures. Place has seriously gone downhill in the past few years. Also, went into the store last Saturday about 40 minutes before their closing time. At 15 minutes before closing time, THEY SHUT OFF ALL THE LIGHTS! Apparently its their way of making people leave. You literally couldn't see anything on the shelves. I saw an elderly woman having to be walked out of the store because she couldn't see to get out of the store herself! Not sure who the Einstein in management is that deemed this appropriate, but they definitely need to be shown the...
