My time at MI Pueblo Restaurant, was pleasant it's both a restaurant and a night club, though I have never been to it at night I have however been here during the day for lunch. First I would like to state that THIS PLACE IS GOOD FOR SEAFOOD. I'm not a big sea food person but this place is great if you want to have HISPANIC SEAFOOD.
Secondly, the atmosphere walking in was like seeing a typical Hispanic bar/restaurant,you wouldn't think they served sea food here unless you look at the stickers on the big windows, they have multiple areas to eat at which include, bar, highchair tables, and regular tables, no booth tables however.
Next I want to say the service was quick, waiter say us got chips and salsa, and bean dip (which i wasnt expecting), it was a nice treat, asked us for our drinks and boom he was was already on it. After a little while he came and asked for our food order and that was that, I don't think I saw his again until he came with our food,it was also kinda busy so I understand.
Last the food, I got a burger and fries with some tacos, when I first saw the burger I was not expecting it to be double stacked I thought i ordered from the kids menu I was surely mistaken, it was good nonetheless. the fries were excellent, usually places have okay fries or little to salty fries, however these ones I had were better than expected nice and soft with a nice crispy taste not to salty and not under salted a welcomed taste for me, the tacos did taste good, one problem came up I was not informed they would have cilantro or onions, it was probably my fault for assuming they came with just meat won't make that mistake again, a note: I don't like onion but these ones I had with the tacos weren't bad.
In conclusion, Good for both seafood lovers and non sea...

Chips and salsa - Not a spec of salt to be found on the chips. However their complementary chips and salsa came with bean dip, which was a wonderful surprise. The salsa had a nice kick and not a ton of cilantro, which is a win for me. - 3
Bean Dip - It is getting its own rating because it was so good. We would come back just for bean dip - 5
Lime Margarita on the rocks - good size, not to sweet or over powering - 3
Steak taco: Flavor - 4 Fullness - 4 Appearance - 2 our taco shells must have been placed on a wet plate so they were mushy
Chicken taco: Flavor - 3 Fullness - 4 Appearance - 2

Read moreReally great food and drinks, but over an hour wait for food for a noon lunch that wasn't that busy. The michelada (Mexican beer with spices added) was fantastic, much better than store bought. The horchata was great too and a hit with the kids. I got the deluxe seafood bowl in the "mi pueblo" sauce - a rich red broth that complemented the mix of shrimp, clams, mussels, and crab well. Seafood is the specialty here and it's probably the way to go when you eat here. My dad got the fried calamari, which was perfectly battered and lightly fried with a smoky chipotle mayo for dipping. They have a kid's menu with standard options, but the kids were happy with a la carte chicken tacos with sides of beans and rice. There are no vegetarian options on the menu, but our server asked the kitchen what they could make and put together a veggie chimichanga for my wife. Portions here are generous - plan to take home...
