WORST STORE OWNER EVER!!! Buyer Beware. I was recently in Greenville to attend a medical conference and decided to visit some of the local antique shops. Upon entering Artifacts, I greeted a man standing behind the counter - no response. I thought perhaps he didn’t hear me - so, I started browsing. When I asked about several pieces, he was extremely unfriendly and dismissive. He was completely uninterested in helping me in any regard and was almost hostile in his demeanor. He struck me as one of the type of antique store owners who only want people to come in and admire the objects there and really doesn’t want to sell anything - essentially, a “hoarder mentality.” By far, this antique shop visit was the worst I have had in many years. I was visibly shaken after dealing with this man. I am praying for the public’s sake that he is not the owner and is an employee. This could legitimately be the best antique store I've ever been to. I didn't make it five feet in the door before I found a gorgeous piece I was almost ready to drop hundreds on (massive lamp made from driftwood). Unfortunately, it was a bit too big for the car that day since we had luggage with us. It took me forever to get through this place — because there was something amazing at nearly every turn. The store itself is pretty large, but there's also a massive exterior area where most everything is for sale (the pics I've shared are of outside, but they mainly focus on the amazing chicken house and rest arch). Best experience we’ve ever had in any antique store ! Micheal , the owner, is probably one of the kindest people we have met. He was so warm and welcoming to our family . They are so kid friendly and it was so refreshing . My kids said it was the best antique store they have ever been to with me ! Artifacts sells actual antiques( no junk) and everything is truly unique . There is something for everyone at every price point . Such a unique and fun shop. They have the coolest chicken coup out back in their garden area that our kids just loved . Such creativity . So grateful to have met such a kind person and found such a beautiful shop . We can’t wait to come visit Greenville again...
