One of mine and my families favorite State Parks! Beach and picnic areas are always very clean and well maintained. You can use a card to pay the $5 per person fee at the gate, but you will need cash to buy anything from the concession stand like ice creams, sodas and snacks. There is no ice here so bring plenty in your cooler if it’s warm and you’re going to be there all day. plenty of shaded spots on the grass leading up to the beach, but it fills up quick on hot days, so an umbrella is always a good idea. Boulder Beach is fantastic for renting boats and enjoying the forest. Beyond the main beach area, there are secluded picnic spots by the water, offering private lake access, grills, and tables. Some areas are beautifully adorned with moss and ferns, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling main beach.
