Idk if they're low on staff or what, but our site was in rough shape when we arrived. Wood shavings near empty in outhouse. Fishing hooks scattered about the site. We spent time collecting trash while foraging mushrooms. I love the spot. It deserves better tending.

A little water at the beginning but we were able to get around it and have a nice walk around the pond. Markings are terrible and you just pop out at some random lean too sites with o si eage for an exit. All and all was a good time

There is an easy 3-mile loop around the pond, which also gives access to a variety of lean-to campsites of varying distances from the trailhead. The trail can be wet and a little muddy, especially in spring.

An incredibly beautiful campground on a pristine lake. We camped at Remote Site 9, which is about a 20 minute canoe paddle away from the main campground area. We were far away enough to feel nicely isolated, but not so far that we couldn't easily make it back to our car if we needed anything. Rangers at the park were kind, humorous, and helpful. Campsite was clean and free of any trash, and most importantly they came with excellent little lean-to's where we could store all our gear.

Showers are available just up the road, and plenty of hiking in the area!

Great experience - worth a visit just for a swim or a...

A guy's wife (husband was there physically, if not in spirit) got quite animated because we had set camp in a vacant spot (theirs, apparently; we hadn't made reservations) which they arrived to after dark.

Having received a call about us being aggressive and otherwise generally inconvenient (unfair, I thought, overhearing as I packed my boat in the dark), the rangers treated us very decently. Don gave us an unoccupied lean-to and some firewood without...
