At the recommendation of a friend, my family hiked Owl Head Trail in Vermont, and the views were SO LOVELY. It's hard to find words to express the beauty. The trail was very nice, my dog son Barry was with us and he was so happy, he tried to run the entire way up! Though, we carried him down because it is steep coming down. We highly recommend anyone in the area to walk the trail as the end views are so rewarding. We had such a great time and the other people on the trail were also very friendly. Such a pleasant place. And there was a bathroom area at the bottom of the trail, by the entrance. IT WAS SO CLEAN. and very pretty on the outside. Surprising for a little hiking bathroom. Great adventure :)

One of the best Hikes in VT. It is very short, however what you can see from the summit is amazing. Bang for your buck one of the best hikes. The views are astounding. There is a very clean bathroom at the trail head, as well as a picnic area. There is plenty of parking and the trail is very easy to access. The trail has many rock steps, and is pretty steep. However it's pretty easy to climb, and the hike is only 0.2 miles long. So it is very done even for novice climbers. There are signs at the summit giving you info on the area. And there are great places to view Kettle Pond and Lake Groton.

I’m not an expert hiker and was looking for a decent but not too challenging first hike of the season when I found this mountain via google search. It is an about 1.8 mile hike from the trail mouth to the peak (about 3 1/2 miles round trip) and was mostly a shaded trail hike with sections of mild inclines until the last 0.3 mile, which became more steep. This mountain was perfect for me and had a beautiful summit view of Kettle Pond in one direction. Parking is free and leashed dogs are allowed.
