This place was probably beautiful at one point, but it looks like it hasn't been maintained in years. I had a hell of a time finding my way around because the trails were generally not well marked and overgrown. I even asked a local cop where to go and he didn't even seem to know what I was talking about. The trails I didn't find that took me towards the coast were full of trash. The marsh was blocked by trail-side vegetation so I couldn't see it. I was able to walk out into the marsh, a substantial portion of which was dry, through an opening in the vegetation, but there wasn't much to see. The trail eventually led to the beach. I walked a mile or two down the beach, which alternated between sandy and rocky (gravel), but there wasn't much to see. On the other side (away from the shore), the trail was too overgrown to go more than a few hundred yards. The bathroom structure along the way was dilapidated and I was worried it was going to collapse under my feet. Overall, I'd avoid this place until some serious effort is put into maintaining it.
