This is the only public pool in the Guthrie area. The prices are $5/person unless you have a monthly YMCA membership. The prices would be fair, if the pool were in better shape. Again, this is the ONLY public pool serving families in a 20-mile radius. There are two new splash pads in town that are very nice, but it would be great if the city would come up with a solution for either updating this pool or building a new one. The lining is chipping and there are a lot of cracked and rough parts that can scratch you. The water stays pretty dirty because the filtration system is broken; always lots of bugs, hair, and decomposing leaves in the water. The lifeguards skim the surface of the water with nets, but it’s basically a very chlorinated pond at this point. It is nicer since they added new lounge chairs and more shade umbrellas. My kids enjoy coming because the pool has a 10ft deep end where they can free-swim, which is nice compared to most newer pools that don’t have deep ends. The splash pads are not interesting to them.
