Haddam Meadows State Park — Attraction in Haddam

So this is my first time here I parked at George Dudley and did an entire Loop which alltrails app showed me. Once you start you come across power lines with such an amazing view and you can see the River from up there. I continued on the trail and it led me to. I continued on the trail and it led me to the Connecticut River which was a beautiful view. I continued walk in and I saw a sign that said Higganum Meadow and I did not notice it on Google maps they say it is called having metals but the sign is telling me different but anyways it is so beautiful there and so peaceful I would definitely recommend checking this spot out if you have not already it is...

Great place for outdoor events with the fam or friends. Swimming and all other boating/ water activities allowed. Huge field, great for playing various sports. No res needed to picnic for the day or set up any awnings. Children love going out on the sand bar at low tide. Has a boat and canoe/kayak launch. Plenty of space to spread out. Plenty of parking. Trails surrounding the main area. Great place to learn about nature, the river and just to chill and have a good time without too...

Nice for a stroll by the river. Takes about 45 minutes to do the whole loop. The grass is kept nicely mowed and overall the park is very clean. The boat launch is popular but I've never tried it. At low tide it's fun to sit out on the sand bars, which extend quite far into the river. There are lots of charcoal grills as well... pack a picnic and...
