🍁It's that time of year again and I love this place.
My first year here was special. I was told, by an older woman, where to find the sweetest Empires and what to look for. It was a little more of a hike, but SO worth it. She also told me about the orchard, it was originally planted by a gentleman, so his wife would always have an income. She, the wife, was a very nice woman with a great smile. I try to come every year and I love the close family feeling you get when you're here.
Prices have definitely changed a lot since I first started coming. The small bag is now $15 The large bag is now $25 But you won't find fresher or juicier AND without pesticides.
Out of curiosity, I'd love to know just how old this orchard is. I imagine they'll be here forever, 🙂 I noticed a LOT of newly planted trees...
