Okay this is my new favorite beach. I've been to Baker beach, santa cruz, and davenport beach. I went on a 60 sunny day and the wind was perfect, there was no sand being flown over our picnic. Waves were pretty calm until sundown, we still didn't get in as theres signs saying not to haha. I did see some pple swim at sunset on boards? But beautiful very spacious beach. There are 2 volleyball nets on left side! Lots of little jellies to avoid that the water kicks up though. Gotta clear your space a little from them. Id recommend a broom lol

Was 10 dollars to park close and they say they close gates at sundown, we left when there was barely any light left at around 8 30 . Restrooms arent too bad, we did bring our own wet wipes. The drive through the mountains was a little scary.. but you get through it...

So just putting that out there in case you are...

I ventured out to Half Moon Bay for perch fishing the other day. While the fish eluded me, I was completely captured by the gorgeous weather - the best I've experienced here in ages.

What truly stole the show, though, was the beautiful native garden near the visitor center. Surprisingly overlooked and undersigned, it was bursting with life and color. The day was perfect, with flowers blossoming everywhere. The stunning contrast between the yellow and pink flowers was my absolute favorite.

Even without a catch, the day was a triumph thanks to nature's unparalleled beauty. If you're visiting Half Moon Bay, don't miss this hidden gem...
