Let's talk about this beach, a sick joke played on the public. I mean, seriously! Dangerous waves? No lifeguard? What is this, a new reality show called "Survivor: The Beach Edition"? Folks, if you're planning a nice, relaxing day near the water, choose a different beach, one where the only riptides you face aren't going to potentially drag you out to sea! But oh, wait! It gets better! This beach is dog-friendly, which is fantastic because dogs can't read signs that say, "Beware of potentially life-threatening water conditions!" The trail there? It's a doozy! Steep, unpaved, and an absolute no-go for wheelchairs. Elderly visitors? Good luck! You'll need a sherpa and a team of sled dogs to make it down this so-called "path." And let’s not skip the pièce de résistance—the bathroom situation. Calling them 'disgusting porta-potties' is an insult to both porta and potties. I mean, come on! If you provide facilities that actively dissuade people from using them, you might as well put up a sign that says, "Hold it in, or good luck!" So unless you're training for a mountaineering expedition, have a hovercraft for your wheelchair, or possess the bladder control of a camel, maybe, just maybe, pick another beach. One with fewer death traps and more actual bathrooms....

Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay is a serene coastal retreat that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Located at the end of Poplar Street, this city-run beach is renowned for its accessibility and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the blufftop trail, which provides stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the iconic Mavericks surf spot.

The beach is notably dog-friendly, allowing leashed dogs to roam the sands, a rarity among California beaches. This makes it a favorite among pet owners who wish to enjoy the beach with their furry companions. Additionally, Poplar Beach accommodates horseback riders, adding a unique charm to the area. However, visitors should be aware of the steep trail leading down to the beach, which requires sturdy footwear. Once on the sand, the expansive shoreline invites leisurely strolls and relaxation.

Amenities at Poplar Beach include restrooms and showers, enhancing the comfort of visitors. While the beach does not permit fires or fireworks, it remains a tranquil spot ideal for picnics, beachcombing, and enjoying the coastal environment. Whether you're seeking a peaceful day by the ocean or an active outing with your pet, Poplar Beach offers a welcoming and...

Beach is very clean, clear water, high waves and stunning visuals. But the problem is visitors who bring their dogs. I have visited the beach yesterday, a dog attacked women(almost thigh skin ripped off but she ran away) even the owner of the dog(Owner) can’t hold the leash and pulled off the dog from attacking. I was there just couple feet away playing with my son, thank god I picked my son high. Victim back to Owner, you should controlled the dog owner showed more attitude and their friends bullied the victim. Victim informed will come back in a minute calling for help in the mean time, dog owner and her friends ran off from the beach. After I have looked around the beach, lots of dogs unleashed, dog owners are happily enjoying the place. But these idiots also should think, others are here to have a pleasant time not all the time more cautious to their loved one. This beach is mentioned restricted to alcohol's and smoke but saw many visitors drinking and smoking weeds, there is no life guard and police to help you. Also while returning back to home, too much traffic but I faced a threat as local women horned to leave way to her. Even she is rich without road manners, keep her money...
