Awesome Picnic with a very special person in my life. We hiked up to the ridge and had a beautiful view of the sand and water below. Because of fog, some view was limited but I was still able to see the beautiful sun glisten from the oceans water below. I strongly recommend a Manage Tois Sandwich if you're picnicking here because ours was excellent and maximized quality time as we didn't have to make sandwiches from scratch. San Gregorio does have the tables blocked off to prevent people from sitting at the tables to help prevent the spread of Covid19 and there are some rules put up on a sign regarding tents and other shade-making items. So, please look up the rules online if you don't want to haul your stuff over only to drag it back to your vehicle. We didn't have anything that was out of the rule book. But just a common courtesy heads up for the thise looking for a great...

Okay.. during the day, $5 to enter, after 5pm, I think its free.

windy.

I can't stress this as the times I have came here it's like a storm! Becareful with your car doors as the wind could push it open and hit another car.

Sand that is being carried by the wind you can feel on your legs. If you want to sit and read book, good luck.

What I've seen people do is use the wood/logs at the entry part of the beach to build structures to block wind. With people setting up near the entrance due to the wood and logs. The rest of the beach that stretches further south (and maybe north) is all open and vacant. My kids and I walked for about a mile away from everyone and it was peaceful...

Did not hear of this Beach much from friends but wanted to give a try after seeing some photos on Google maps... It was great than what we expected and has some very good views. We went up the cliff view point for small hike then came down to beach.

This area of beach has very few rocks in water and very shallow.. we enjoyed walking along the shore.

The cliffs have caved at 2 or more spots adding to the scenery.

Parking fee is 8$ paid through cash. There was no cashier and as per instructions the amount in cash should be put in an envelope and dropped into a secured pole at entrance. No Cards accepted for payment so be ready with cash to...

Nice beach that felt somewhat tucked away and secluded. Not too many other people there while we were there, so it was peaceful. The setting between cliffs gave it a nice vibe, almost a Game of Thrones feeling! The path down to the beach from the parking lot was a bit sketchy, as we saw an older lady struggling to get down (though she refused our offer of assistance, she eventually succeeded), so be careful. It's also quite a long walk to get to the water. Overall, we're glad we got to spend the afternoon here.

Such a nice beach to visit. It is $8 for parking/ entry in to the State Park. There is a little bit of a hike down & out to the beach but very easy, easy enough even with kids we saw, families able to get out there. It is a little more out of the way and so wasn't very crowded at all for it being peak summer/ tourist season. There are lots of birds out there including pelicans. Very neat!! Picnic tables plenty for a little picnic meal. Vault toilets at least it you REALLY have to go LOL ๐Ÿ˜†

Lovely, quiet beach. There is a good amount of parking (costs $8). Next to the parking lot there are a lot of picnic benches that look out at the ocean as well as a good sized public bathroom with 4 stalls. There were several people fishing but we still had plenty of space to enjoy the water and nearby cliffs. There is a short but fairly steep walking path up one of the cliffs with nice views. There isn't much else to do nearby but it's a fun place to visit and enjoy a day at the beach!
