Venice Beach - Half Moon Bay State Beach — Attraction in Half Moon Bay

Nice beach, but I'm giving it 4 stars because it was a little tricky to access. The river mouth has moved and you have to cross it. It doesn't look like it on google maps, but the river goes past the stairs now. There is a small log to use as a bridge. Short walk from the parking lot though. And nice picnic area and restrooms near the parking lot. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and walk along the beach. Great place for bird watching. Not crowded on a Monday afternoon late July. access to the beach is not convenient. there's water stream blocking access to the beach from trails from all parking lots. only one trail has steps to the beach, but it still blocked off by water. people either wade thru the water or jump across where its narrow. not recommended...
