The Lakehouse — Attraction in Halifax

We got married here mid-October during peak foliage autumn season, and we absolutely LOVED the venue and all of Saphire Event Group (SEG)! Firstly, Kacey, our Event Producer, was absolutely wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable, and guided us throughout the planning process. There were many moments where we had not thought of important details that she reminded us of, and she and the Saphire Event Group staff were very responsive to us, adapted to our every need (including our multiple last-minute requests), and were incredibly kind and thoughtful! Including our Asian culture was also very important to us and they were very inclusive to our cultural elements, including welcoming and including our Lion Dance performance. We truly could not have done it without Kacey and SEG, as they are ultimate experts in this industry and have thought of everything that made our weekend the most memorable. Secondly, The Lakehouse venue is gorgeous and stunning. It was the indoor-outdoor space beyond what we envisioned with the foliage around the lake and the boho-style renovations that made the venue unique in the New England area. We have been to many local weddings and have not found another venue like it with this gorgeous style. Many (if not all) of our guests complimented the venue, and mentioned the convenience with it having a huge parking lot and that the catered food was delicious. We also love the flow of the venue from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor cocktail area and reception, the bride/groom suites, and their ability to be flexible pending the weather. Our weather was sunny and perfect, and they even had corn-hole and Jenga set up for us! It is clear that they created this space specifically for weddings in mind given the flow of the space and staff coordination - the entire wedding day was smooth and seamless. We had three SEG staff coordinating our day (shoutout to Kacey, Cortney, and Aubrey!) and they were also so considerate of us as bride/groom (like bringing us our hors d'oeuvres privately). We did not have to worry about a single thing and could fully enjoy our day! 1000000% the best venue and best staff! We wanted our perfect New England autumn wedding, and we couldn't have asked for it to have been any better thanks to SEG!

P.S. The mashed potato bar was our FAVORITE and a HIT!! Highly recommend...

The Sapphire estate group is so professional, organized and likable that we booked the Lakehouse based off renderings, when the venue was amidst a massive renovation.

The venue went from great to amazing with the renovations. The interior is modern and provided a neutral palette to match whatever we wanted. The windows overlooking the lake brought in so much sunlight. The outside where the ceremony was held had vibrant greens leading up to the lake. There was also plenty of lounge space for cocktail hour held outside or inside. We also loved the dock that’s attached to the venue which we found provided some of our best photos. We had many guests say it is the coolest wedding venue they’ve been to.

The food was unbelievable. 3 months later and we’re still salivating thinking about it and getting compliments from our guests.

In addition to the team of professionals that made our dream wedding a reality, we have to give a major shoutout to Victoria, our event producer and the light of our lives.

Victoria was incredible. She was well organized, communicative, flexible, and thoughtful in helping to execute our vision. She may be 4’ 10”, but she commanded everyone and kept the whole day flowing. She eliminated issues before we even heard a whisper of them and checked in on us throughout the day. Our day was incredible and Victoria was a major reason.

Becky, the bridal attendant, was also amazing. She kept us fed, organized, and calm. We didn’t have wedding parties, so she literally delivered my vows to our officiant, bustled me and remembered & put my veil on (which I had forgotten in the bag).

The entire crew was unbelievably professional and efficient. Our car wouldn’t start when we were leaving and only a few workers were left. Aubrey and two others stayed to jump our car and ensure we got home safely.

Cannot say enough positive about The Lakehouse and my experience with Victoria and all of the staff! My wife and I had our reception for our wedding in July and it was perfect! The planning with Victoria, tasting with the chef for meal options and reviewing all of the details was effortless. Myself and my wife have been engaged since 2020 and finally we were able to have our dream wedding at The Lakehouse. I can't say enough positive about how the staff supported us and made our wedding such a special day. In terms of the actual wedding day we had been warned by other that "It will go by too fast" "you won't have enough time to do everything". Our experience at The Lakehouse was the exact opposite! We did have a five hour reception and although it flew by we never felt rushed. Our bridal attendant was BEYOND amazing! She made sure my wife was ready, organized and kept all of the bridal party, parents and myself happy. Any request was carried out immediately and she was attentive to every detail. The food? AMAZING, we went with both a chicken and a steak option and to this day it still stands at the best steak of my life! The guests couldn't stop telling us that the food was incredible and some of the best food they had ever had at a wedding! Victoria led the charge and kept amazing communication with our vendors and of course us! We never felt rushed throughout the evening and had a clear plan for what was next. If there is any doubt in your mind about going here for a wedding, event or party, take a look at the property!!
