Absolutely beautiful! One of my favorite parks! I enjoy walking through its various walking trails and taking in the scenery while listening to music or writing poetry. In late summer and early fall it is particularly beautiful. Amateur and professional photographers alike will appreciate the photogenic nature scenes. A wonderful place to go jogging or simply take a nature stroll or meditate in nature beside the creek relatively undisturbed. With the walking paths and playground, it is a delightful place to take the family for a picnic or to grill. With its fair variety of North Texan plant life, those who enjoy dabbling in botany are also sure to...

This is a really nice park. The main playground off the parking area has bathrooms (but no baby changing facilities). There is a large shaded picnic area by the bathrooms, and picnic benches here and there along the trail.

There are at least two playgrounds, and quite a warren of trails through the woods in addition to the paved walkway. Several of the trails lead down to the creekside, so folks can really get into nature ;)

Monitor your children carefully though. The trails are winding and every area looks similar. A lone wanderer could very quickly dash out of reliable earshot, and the park is near...

Dear my fellow Texans, I am writing as a worried and concerned mother. This is a warning.... hooligans frequent this park.. your children are in danger. I was bird watching and a scruffy young chap snatched up my binoculars and threw them over the fence, causing the pigeons a shock.. he proceeded to laugh at me and call me an Old Hag. I am NOT old........ Oh heavens, how they torment me. If anyone knows a lad by the name of Reggie, tell him I am appalled and will be taking further action.......... 😡 Spread the word on the Texas facebook community, both citizens and bird watchers alike shall...

... One of the things I have always admired about the various parks departments in the Metroplex is the creative use of what was once considered junk land, creeks, rivers and floodplains, turning them into some of the best parks 🏞️ to be had... ... Weaving together hiking and biking trails from one end of Tarrant county to the other, transporting ourselves, with the simple act of walking through our urban wilderness, uncluttering my mindset and breathing in a fresh perspective on life, ready again to take on the world... ... Anywho that's how it works for me...

This is a really nice park. They are doing construction on the baseball field, but the rest of the park is great. Nice paved trails, mostly shaded, outdoor basketball court, nice playground, many picnic tables scattered along the trail with paving up to and under the tables so a wheel chair could go there. There was a nice group of picnic tables under a nice room for bad weather and nice restrooms at the parking lot. The trails connect the park to many other areas along the Big Fossil Creek river.

Surprising amount of biodiversity for a park that's tucked away in a city. There's some recreation areas for basketball, picnic, and a play area for children. I saw a couple of small off the pavement trails and while they're less than 100 feet, it was enough to "almost" make you forget that you're in the middle of civilization. I saw teenagers and parents with their kids here. Good beginner level park but great if you're into local insects and birds.
