Very disappointed. Drove over 45 minutes because the website claims it is dog friendly. This establishment is anything but animal friendly. As soon as you get there you're greeted with signs saying no dogs at the beach. A girl from the concession stand was yelling at us from the concession stand to move the dog up to the grass area. It's almost 90 degrees out. Change your website to reflect that. I would also like to state we were there on a Monday and many people were not there. We went to the beach area away from the ropes so not the swimming area. Absolutely no one had a problem with me or my dog except that worker. No one was even near us.

This is a nice park. The beach area is clean, flat, and easily accessible. There are picnic tables, a swing, docks, and a special needs fishing pier. The lake is man made, and is fed by a few streams and springs. The water is always cloudy. After a rain, swimmers can get a little muddy in the lake. Like most PA beaches, there is not a life guard. PA Wildlife Officers periodically patrol the lot and beach.

The place is beautiful and we love going there with family. I didn't give the place a 5 star rating just because of all the people smoking and poop in areas where these are not allowed. I understand it's more of a people problem than the park itself.

We went with six and a small three year old. The beach was filthy, trash, etc. Not enough places in shade to sit or a place that the handicap can get out of sun. All tables were taken and the benches are in direct sun. The bathroom was dirty, and not maintained. The floors were wet and slimy . my daughter on crutches almost fell trying to use restroom. I will never take family there again. Water filthy and goose feathers and poop everywhere. Go to Erie the extra hour away....

This was my first experience there and it was an organized function for a kids birthday. Everything was well maintained and clean. My only complaint is about a woman who was older that worked at the ice cream stand. I ordered myself a cone and 5 cones for the kids and went to the pick up window and she complained about how the people need to pay attention at the pick up window to get their F*G ice cream. Other than that it was a very...
