Raccoon Creek Park Beach — Attraction in Hanover Township

If you don't mind lake water, GO HERE! It is relaxing. There is a swimming spot and then a spot rooted off for lap swimmers and folks that want to float on their little rafts in peace.

The hot dogs at the concession stand, I would eat them all day if I could. Expensive and small but the taste is that on the grill hot dog taste.

People are kind for the most part. You'll get your screaming wild kids AND "adults" from time to time but just keep to yourself and have fun.

We were floating before and a little trout came up to us and nibbled out lower backs. It startled us at first and we wondered what the heck!!! Then I looked down as it was happening to me and I saw him!!!!

Watch ducks and geese float by. Fish jump! Even all the boaters that float past.

Just go. Save yourself a few bucks and skip the pool. Go...

We had a wonderfully relaxing afternoon. The park was clean and well maintained. The beach area had large restrooms with, showers and changing stalls. There also was a concession stand. The beach was easy to find by following the signs. We also had the opportunity to rent hydrobikes while there. The boat house was just a short drive from the beach and they were very reasonably priced. Don't forget your sand toys! It was a perfectly sized beach. We brought a large blanket to lay down, and I was very happy to find that the area leading to the sand was all grass! There were a few picnic tables, that were first come first serve. There is also a small park with swings, if your little ones need a break from the water....

We go here few times each summer. Its very nice there. Not many picnic tables or grills but if u get there early enough u can get them. Bathrooms r not always vwry clean but u can deal with it. Animals allowed, walking trails nice, fishing is awesome cuz its right by swimming area. They have volleyball area also and the concession stand is little expensive. Theres one pavilion but its connected to concession stand for you to buy food and eat there...thats all i ever have...
