This was an unexpectedly interesting trail it was very beautiful had some history to it and it had a nice river I seen people kayaking down and it looked like they were having fun although I would have to say that you might have to choose your days wisely because the day we went was I believe a weekend and it was packed I mean there was people taking pictures for the holidays on it there was a tour guide Don't know what that one was from but there was a group of people touring the place there was couples walking the trails it was very beautiful again it was very interesting to go through the tunnel. Read moreThis is a very short trail, but also very pretty, and peaceful. Good for a short walk to see the canal lock, the tunnel, and some nice rock outcroppings just beyond... and enjoy the quiet as it is less popular than the paved trail on the other side of the river. (This is a no dog, no bikes trail --as are the dirt trails off of the paved one). A short distance past the tunnel there are signs posted identifying nature preserve areas that you should stay out of, so be on the lookout for those because they can be hidden...

There is even a secret waterfall sometimes after it has heavily rained. It is a bit overgrown but I think that is what makes it so gorgeous !! if you see the wooden plank it is on a side trail that is hard to find near...
