It was a bit muddy today, but there were a lot of us out enjoying the trails today. I personally counted 187 steps going up the green space on the back side of the dam, but other people in my group got slightly different numbers, but all were less then 200. Some of the trails are more challenging then others, we walked all the way to the fire tower, it was a good hike. Other then some of the hills, the paths that we chose were not too challenging. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to get out and enjoy...

It's a dam. It holds back water. But there are several picnic tables and several hiking trails. For kayakers, this is good place to launch from and end up at Mohican State Park. Fishing is available at the bottom of the dam or by a hiking path. A very nice hike is to start from the covered bridge, visit Lyons Falls Then stop by Pleasant Hill Dam... then head back along the other side of the river back to the...

The rock formations are beautiful here, but the wretched smell at this dam smells like a giant porta john. Not sure what's causing it, but ewww. Two years in a row we've noticed it. Very limited parking since they've blocked off part of the shoreline parking spots. You cannot see the running water through the dam like some others, but the lake provides nice photo...
