Olson Farms - Damascus, OR — Attraction in Happy Valley

Pros: My family and I really enjoyed this patch. We went today on a weekday to avoid a crowd, but there is more action on the weekends with rides and such. There is still a fun playground for the kids to enjoy durning the week; my children loved it so much they did not want to leave. They also have some goats and donkeys that you can’t feed, but you can pet them and they are super calm and cute. It’s a beautiful, and well taken care of farm.

Con: I would say the only downside is that the pay system isn’t the best; cash or check only which I expected but there was a lock box to put your dollas in with no one there to manage it? We had witnessed what had appeared to be another family taking advantage of the situation and were seen taking a lot of pumpkins without payment. I would love to come back here again; I would just highly suggest someone be at the front during the week day; so they can make sure that people are actually paying for...

We had a great first visit out to Olson Farms - we picked pumpkins, did the hay ride, and let our baby explore the super cool playground (as much as a 9 month old can). Definitely a fantastic place to bring along kiddos to, swings and slides and other activities to keep everyone occupied. Very good pricing on pumpkins, and they had honey, jam, corn, and apples available at their stand. It was all quite picturesque with the pumpkin field, colorful dahlias, and bright orange and red trees. They also had vintage farm equipment in the parking area, which was a fun extra thing to see.

All in all, would love to come back, and we'll probably try to hit them up during raspberry picking season next summer! The property is...

LOVE this small, local, kid-friendly pumpkin patch! BUT it is such a disappointment that they only accept cash and check. During the week it’s on the honor system so they really need to add a Venmo option. We spent over an hour playing and picking out the perfect pumpkins, and then found a tiny sign saying “cash and check only” when we were checking out. There were no employees there. We sadly had to abandon all of our perfect pumpkins. I would have spent $62 so it was a bummer for the business. There were NO signs indicating it was cash/check only except for a very tiny one at the pay counter.
