Did the Grand Loop Trail and some of the blue trail and they were well marked, well maintained and easy to trek on. I hardly had to look at my phone for guidance. There weren't many bugs aside from some gnats flying around me. The trail itself was almost all wooded with almost no outlooks or points of interest so it felt like it went on forever for me. There was one clearing that almost felt like the gates of heaven. There is also no place to really sit and take a break aside froma bench at the 6-7 mile mark at the top of the mountain on the Blue trail. It was nice to do once for me but don't see myself doing this again. l'd give it 3.5/5 if could but give it 4 because it's so well maintained but it got boring to me half way through.

Loved hiking at Jockey Hollow today. The trails are moderately challenging because of the changes in elevation, not the terrain. Most trails are grassy & worn, although some spots were pretty wet. I don't know if that was weather, or the creek that runs throughout the area. The trails are well-marked and every junction has an easy to read map posted. This is a great place to hike to experience history, as well as the scenery.

Beautiful grounds, but there are no street signs that coordinate with maps. It was especially confusing at visitor center parking lot site map. This was the 2nd time we were here. I felt totally lost and I am usually good with maps...
