This is not my favorite place!!! Some workers just require you to state your address, therefore, I thought that was sufficient. To my surprise, I get a worker that requires me to present a paper bill to confirm my address. I had a truck loaded to the brim with trash. He wouldn't let me pass with a warning and required me to go home to get my bill and come back; in which I did, I stayed 15 minutes away. I returned in 30 minutes with it, it was just an inconvenience and took away time I had alotted for cleaning my garage. As a result, I keep a billing statement in my glove department so that I can freely recycle and dispose of my bulk trash appropriately without having to first locate a billing statement to confirm the address that is already on my drivers license. I already have to find someone to help load and unload my vehicle. I don't need to take their whole day everytime I have to deal with this place. Additionally, again I found out the hard way...if you go after 2:00pm on any day you are taking a chance on them turning you away because they are full. Again, I had car full loaded to the top and with a helper on board but they were full so back home I went to have the helper then unload my car and put the trash back into my garage. So, I go early with a billing statement to limit the...
Read moreUnfair to Harker Heights residents that you don't allow individuals in the local Harker Heights mobile home parks to utilize the services like the standard residential residents do. Was told it's due to a $1 fee that regular residential HH residents get charged but residents in the local mobile home parks don't pay that fee so we do not get to use the landfill at this location. Mobile home park residents are not allowed as of Summer 2023 to use this landfill and have to pay to dump elsewhere within the county. Was informed that they consider the mobile home parks as commercial property, leaving an inconvenience to those who live in a local mobile home park & the park's managers don't allow you to even leave bulk items out or in the large commercial dumpster they have on site for their use only. Most ridiculous policy yet! Nathan needs to...
Read moreJust went with my dad to drop off a carpet and the gentleman working the gate told me we couldnt drop off because they close at 4:40. Time: 4:43. He told us to turn around and leave. I let him know the hours online and on the sign, 4:50. He preceded to tell me for 5 minutes that I couldn't drop off 1 carpet because he can't work past 5 o'clock and that he doesn't get paid to work off the clock. It was 4:47 at this point. I reminded him that he was on the clock and that the carpet should take 30 seconds to drop. He continued to argue that he doesn't work for free. I let him know that if he would let us drop the carpet this conversation is a mute point. He finally did his job and we were out by 4:49. Do better, and whoever is his supervisor please remind him his hours or change yours online and...
