We love the Wild Wood Park and the nature center. The 3-mile paved path offers a sense of cleanliness and an easy walking experience. There are a few up and down hills around the lake but they are not so steep. There are some overlook spots give out an overview of the area. There're a few paths were blocked due to structural damages. Hopefully, they can be repaired soon. The highlight is the nature center. The observation window allows visitors an opportunity to capture birds of all species at one spot. It's also a great spot for a photo opportunity. The photo contest offer a sense of community engagement and fun for all ages. I highly recommend visiting this park and nature center all seasons!! The best part is it is free even with parking.

There are so many things this location offers... There's a great deal of natural wildlife and beautiful scenery to be found. It's rich in history as well as a wonderful place to take your family. It's about 3 miles around the primary trail and there are side trails one can take to enjoy a little rougher terrain. The boardwalks have been renovated and reopened. The nature center host events throughout the year and the staff who work here and take care of the park are absolutely fantastic. People even fish here and do a great deal of wildlife photography. It's a central location and a spot of natural wonder in the middle of the urban landscape.

Such a great stop for the whole family! Spend time here and appreciate the wetland preserve, the engineering in place to manage water levels, search for geocaches, let the kids run and complete a scavenger hunt inside the nature center! Lots of seasonal activities posted for kids, volunteer opportunities and informational pamphlets to help you enjoy your time here, whether it be 30” or longer.
