My husband and I like to come here. We enjoy the lake breezes and looking out at the water. There have been recent, much needed upgrades to the park. The old, decaying deck has been removed. A new fishing pier has been built. The old fencing has been taken down and it makes the waterfront feel much wider. Giving a park 4 stars feels silly, but there's so much goose poop! I don't know that much can been done about it. Also, I don't really understand the decision to heap rocks at the water's edge. It seems like it could have been made into a small beach. There's a small cement slope which I assume is a boat launch, but its only accessible by foot. I wanted to walk down it to get my feet wet, but the geese are using it as a toilet. More benches would be nice. I hope someday they add a splash pad. The gazebo and playground remain and the grounds were re-seeded for new grass. I think the geese have eaten all the seed and baby grasses.

I had my daughter's 6th birthday party here, there is only one Pavilion so if you're looking to throw a party I would recommend calling and renting it out beforehand. All the kids had a lot of fun and the view is beautiful! The park is clean and they have restrooms that have been open everytime I have visited.

Magnificent place to bring the kids to enjoy the play scapes and swing while utilizing one of the grills provided by the park. There is even a horse shoe pit as well as a sand filled ⛱ volleyball court! Right on the lake with a paltry wooden board walk to add into the fun!

Right before COVID hit in 2020 this park was closed. Google says it's opens and we would go there and the gates would be locked. Finally I called the Harrison Twp Parks and Recreation to inquire why had it been closed. I was told that it's getting a complete overhaul for the fishing pier that includes a kayak launch area. It stayed closed for almost two years. You could see the construction equipments parked in the parking lot but we didn't see anything being done. Finally it opened summer of 2023 and NOTHING was done to the fishing pier! The board are still warped and a few looks like they're coming up. Where the kayak launch is supposed to be, is now fenced off. I would like to know what happened to the money the taxpayers paid to have this done and it's never...

Mostly great park. Has a pavilion with several picnic tables, and a few more picnic tables spread around. There is one grilling area adjacent to the pavilion and another further away. The boardwalk is frequented by fishers and in choppy water can sometimes get a bit swamped with waves. This park has posted signs stating that PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED, however many pet owners seem to bring their small dogs and allow them to roam without a leash. The result is some small surprise dog poop piles, making it somewhat unsuitable for children to...
