Jackknife Cove — Attraction in Harwich

If you have kids and are looking for a unique place to spend the day this is a great spot. There are shallows for the little ones to play in and explore, seashells to collect, and behind a sand bar is a slow moving river to swim and jump in. There aren't really any waves so you don't have to worry as much with the little ones. Parking is free but on a busy day I would bet the lot could fill up. There are no life guards or restrooms so that's something to keep in mind. But overall this is a great little hidden...

Fun place to take the kids for a few hours. Lots of shallow water to splash around in. Vwe nice sandy area to sit and relax. Lots of crabs in the shallow water. Tons of horseshoe crabs swimming/walking around to enjoy. The view of the bay is beautiful. Talk a walk down the beach to get to a shaded rocky area (and see a golf course on the hill beside you). One of the few places on the cape where you don't need a parking sticker. Not many parking spaces, lots of room on beach. Bring beach footwear, tons of rocks and broken shells.
