If you have kids and are looking for a unique place to spend the day this is a great spot. There are shallows for the little ones to play in and explore, seashells to collect, and behind a sand bar is a slow moving river to swim and jump in. There aren't really any waves so you don't have to worry as much with the little ones. Parking is free but on a busy day I would bet the lot could fill up.
