We have lived in the vicinity of this beach for about 40 years. We still think of it as "our beach". The town does a very good job of cleaning it up, although it tends to be littered here and there with "cup and saucer" shells and , in some places, dead seaweed. As a rule, you can usually find a spot that is free of both. Wearing beach shoes would help. The water is warm, 70° plus in the summer, and although the beach can be crowded, it is never overwhelmed as some are. Parking is limited and you have to have a sticker or pay the fee.
