If you want peace and quiet, your own beach, and clean rooms then this is the place for you. We stayed in a "king bed with kitchenette and ocean views"- this had a large, comfy bed; a view of the ocean from the front door and an adjoining deck; a small kitchenette with mini fridge, 2 stove burners, Kuerig, utensils, cups and bowls (though oddly only one large plate), and sink; a small bathroom with standard tub/shower, clean toilet and a stand alone sink with mirror cabinet (no counter); 2 nightstands, small dresser and closet for storage, a charger/clock, and a TV. Basically everything you NEED but maybe not everything you want/would expect with a king bed room. They do have larger rooms available but they were out of our price range. For the 2 of us staying there, it suited us fine. The location is where Chatham Tides is worth it. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, right on the coast, with a section of beach for guest use. They do provide Adirondack chairs to sit in but unfortunately 3 of them were broken in some way. We loved sitting and watching the sea birds, shell collecting and exploring the rock jetties. I waded in the water but there is quite a lot of seaweed here (I'd bring water shoes). There are a good amount of eateries, trails, and of course Chatham Lighthouse right near by. The location and tidy rooms are a plus but there might be more bang for your...
Read moreAfter looking at other types of rentals I got tired of the extra fees so started looking at resorts/hotels. Chatham is in a great location at the cape and Chatham Tides had a variety of rooms. We did #5 in a row of 6 efficiency units facing the ocean. We loved the ambiance of the room. A true Cape Cod experience. The facilities, view, room decor and colors just melted away all the mental dust and .grime we all accumulate daily living and work. The room is not big by any means but perfect for two of us with a small stove to, microwave, fridge, freezer,Keurig, cooking utensils, dishes and a big window looking at the water. Parking was easy. Check in was wasy, Cecilia was great and made a courtesy call to check on us about an hour before the office closed to be sure our check in wnet smoothly. She also knows a lot about the area, P Town parking, sunset photos, Hot Chocolate Sparrow.||A cup of tea on the deck started every morning. Another thing with the location is everything we wanted to see and do was "above" us. We never had to backtrack past the resort. The four days we were there started by going up to Provincetown (P Town) and the Race Point area. Every day we drove little less distance and w. Will post orked our way back to the Tides. Highly recommended. place to stay. Will post more trip on another post as...
Read moreWe were looking for peace and quiet, a great location, and somewhere indicative of what we imagined Cape Cod to represent, and we found it. The room and bed were very comfortable, shower had great pressure and an adjustable head for tall people, towels that were thick and thirsty, a Keurig machine, fridge, iron and board, nearby ice machine, and peace and quiet. No microwave, but there's one in the office. Our room even had a small kitchen area with supplied utensils and cooking implements. The view was amazing, and the small beach area was great for relaxing on the chairs and watching the sunset. Volleyball or frisbee? Don't even think about it. Parking in front of the room was very convenient, and the small deck was ideal for morning coffee. Restaurants, excursions, and a liquor store were within a 10-minute drive. It's at the end of a residential area, so did I mention the peace and quiet? We didn't need a mint on the pillow, turn-down service, room service, or a pool, so this definitely fit the bill. We would definitely recommend it, and...
