Oh boy. Where to begin. Lived there for about 4 years. Moved out in late 2017. The good: -Cheapish compared to what I pay now elsewhere but rates rose far too much each year. -Nice community/grounds -Location is good enough -Maintenance was always friendly and usually prompt with my requests. -Most staff was friendly (slipped me a free second pool pass) -Emergency protocols seemed fine but you'll hear smoke detectors going off regularly. -Good on letting you know if something was happening to your building/lot. The bad: -Certain neighbors...I get that we are in close proximity but change your smoke detector batteries! Stop threatening to kill each other! Learn how to drive! Don't throw keys at your spouse and hit my door with them! Stop being the source of cockroach infestations! Don't rape people! (Plenty of neighbors were fine and nice) -Building E had a ceiling collapse in the stairwell. Took a month to fix. Squirrels got in and ran all over in the ceiling at night. -Building P has roaches (moved to cat friendly building). -Hope your hot water heater doesn't die in January while you have bronchitis! -Cat friendly changed to cat/dog friendly without anyone's vote. I love dogs but not yapper chihuahuas right across the hall. No offense and no ill will towards the dog! -Can't see apartment you'll rent. Hope it doesn't smell like smoke! The ugly: -You best hope life doesn't throw you any curveballs. I was laid off and immediately went on the job hunt. Had no luck in the area so I expanded my search and found a job that would require relocation. They charged me over $1600 to move out (was refunded about $125). I left halfway through Oct but had to pay all of October's rent, all of November's rent and then another imaginary month of rent on top of that. Greedy greedy with zero compassion. Do not let them F you over. Been meaning to write this review for months now. Would've given them a 3 or 4 had it not been for the ugly. Please enjoy the photo of the duct tape I put up between my cabinets to stop roaches. I didn't think it would actually work.

NOT EVEN WORTH THE ONE STAR!!!Do a favor to yourself and go somewhere else, this place is not livable. Roaches come from the wall and the carpet, they sprayed few times and changed the monitors but that didn’t change anything, sewer pipes are very very old and you will have so many problems, the whole building is very old, we hade a leak both rooms when it rained heavily, i had to leave this place because from day one i had too many problems, heat vents are very dirty and dusty, i told them my son has asthma and can’t be in such a dusty place, they told me there is no way for them to clean it!!! I tried to clean it my self as much as I can but it ended up being in the ER couple times for my son. Maintenance department has no idea about customer service, mick and stephanie will tell you they will send somebody to fix what you asked for and they will forget you for weeks. I found a mouse, this made me take the decision to leave and when i called the maintenance to come take it they came to put mouse traps and forgot to take it. It took them almost 10 months to order a drawer for the fridge which was missing. The only person was nice to me and was trying to help is JoAnne Malcolm, she listened to me that i can’t live anymore in this apartment and i have to end the lease 2 months early. I don’t recommend Hatfield Village apartments to anyone, it’s not worth the $1600 and doesn’t include anything. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Wish I could give negative stars…Cheater community. They don’t believe in making good tenant experience. Community just want to steal money from tenants in form of wrong fees after people move out from the apartments and report to the collection agency for fully wrong things. They are never going to give you back the deposit and will ruin your good credit score. PLEASE DON’T STAY!!! They’re Scammers and only believe in stealing money from good tenants. They charge me $750 for carpet stain. Avoid this place.

Continue review from Arnaldo Lee I was expecting from her even complaint comming she put on hold at least call me about same situation before they check and make sure about it. pass almost 2 or 3 weeks and nobody came to check subfloor. before last meeting she call me again early in morning knowing I work over night. and that day after arrive 6am I was taking a nap because 10am i got a appointment with one costumer. On this last metting I told Joan really loud she was jeopardizing me like that. Im recovering for cancer taking around 6medication daily antidepression pain killers and others and she knew about all this because I told her lot times on previous meetings. on the end of this meeting I ask sorry and she to also say sorry she did notice how frustrated I was because this situation and TOLD ME IF WE NEED TALK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE SHE WILL CALL ME AND ASK TO GO TO OFFICE on previous meetings she ask me to meet this neighbor I say YES. HE rejected saying don't wanna meet us. Getting complaint but not time and date saying they don't give. but she could call and follow up and try extract this information so we could CHECK and FIX this issues definitely. the only think she repeat was: Complaints are banging, screaming. no more details no more information I was about to have a heart attack about this situation because I have a problem but don't know how to fix with this poor informations they came after our last meeting close around March20 I believe maintenance guy and subcontractor they walk thru to check and notice my wife with 110lb just walking making SQUEAKY noise on living room, hallway, both kids bedrooms, master bedroom and.kitchen all apartament SQUEAKYING. They told me they will make a meeting between then to get scheduled to fix subfloor. before anybody contact me. a Lawyer office at mar/ 28 send me a letter to TRANSFER FOR ANOTHER UNIT OR TERMINATE.LEASE WITHOUT PENALTY giving us 30days When I checked with her if they have any 3bedrooms available she say no I will need to move to a 2bedrooms and will be cheaper on price. This make me think about it. I Just move to 3bedrooms by new furniture and if I will move to 2bed my new furniture will not fit. Also when we move in to 2bedroom a 3years ago my wife still pregnant. Trisha told us we could stay on 2bedrooms until my baby turn 2years after that I need to move for a 3bedrooms. THATS WHY WE DECIDE MOVE TO A 3BEDROOMS I answer that email and wait almost 2weeks without answers. I was so stressed about this situation me and my wife decide take a lil family vacation and because our cleaning schedule we was busy following week. When finally I was more calm and work schedule we got more free time I call leasing office and they told me to call lawyer office because they( LEASING OFFICE) wasn't handling this case. between all this missing email and contacts Apr/6( received on my gmail) got email from Trisha asking what date should be good for us to schedule and start sub floor repair. I call: Apr 14 Monday lawyer was in court left message to call me back Apr15 Tuesday he was busy left message to call me back Apr 16 wed. he was in another phone call. ask to law office secretary if was better call next day and what time will be better. she put me on hold and return saying Lawyer reply my email already. I told her I never received and gave my email address the Gmail were i got letter on march28 She checked and the answer go to a OLD HOTMAIL email address and I don't have access to that. so he resend a email from APR 7 saying they letter from Mar 28 was revoked. I taught this was a good news. subfloor repair + message saying letter from mar28 was REVOKE. I reply this email asking if we could stay on same apartment. he reply me next day sending another email from Apr10 with a NOTICE TO QUIT. I would like to just understand why they send all this letter before pass 30days as letter say. how they could done this before they fix the subfloor and gives a chance to FIX the PROBLEM Now we got court schedule without any repair. No opportunity to...

I lived at Hatfield Village apartments in building AL1 from 2023-2024, and this is the only apartment I’ve ever moved out of after only 1 year. It’s definitely not the worst place on the market by any means, but the price of these apartments is definitely way too high for what you’re living in. I rented a 2 bedroom apartment with my now ex boyfriend. We had a pretty good experience with the initial leasing process as the staff were friendly and helpful.

That being said, it was probably less than a month after moving in that I couldn’t wait to leave. We had a third floor apartment facing the parking lot. The apartments are definitely old and have DEFINITELY gotten the landlord special of slapping a new coat of paint on everything and calling it a day. The paint also had a lot of hairs stuck in it, which was pretty gross. For a two bedroom apartment we paid 1550/month, not including wifi or electricity. After those the total amount due was closer to 1900/month. Shortly after moving in I found bedbugs that definitely didn’t come from us considering the maintenance person who sprayed informed me that the previous tenants had brought them in. Ngl that would’ve been a deal breaker if it had been shared prior to the lease being signed. Additionally, there were a lot of roaches. I know it’s an apartment building and roaches happen sometimes but I saw one a day at least for the whole lease, even with the complex spraying.

Also, the wood under the carpets was caving in in some spots and super squeaky. The laundry situation is also a nightmare since there’s only 1 washer and 1 dryer for an entire building, which costs almost 5 dollars a load, not including the fact that you often had to dry twice because the dryer sucked. I didn’t like using the laundry facilities on site either since I was afraid of somehow getting bedbugs from someone. The card that other people mentioned is also a pain because you can only refill it at the the leasing office There’s a gym and a pool but you have to pay additional fees to get the passes, so I personally never did. I’m already spending almost 2k just to live here, there’s no way I’m spending extra to get to use the gym too.

Another point of contention for me was the online payment system. There were several months where I paid rent a few days before the due date but I always ended up getting late fees attached because it wouldn’t post from the bank until after rent was due. I was constantly calling to get late fees removed. Speaking of this, there was also an issue upon move out. I paid all damage fees (even though I definitely think some were reaching) and yet they still sent a claim to the guarantors system they use to recover the money. I had to go back and provide the details of my payment before it went to collections.

Trash was also an issue. There was a recycling dumpster right next to my building but apparently people can’t read the giant sign on the gate and only threw in regular gross trash, which then piled up for days literally overflowing and smelling before it got picked up. But sometimes I couldn’t even blame people for it because the next closest dumpster was at least a 5 minute walk away.

Overall, I consider Hatfield Village to be the worst complex I’ve lived at. They’re charging high end prices for low income housing and it’s crazy. I’d never recommend this place honestly. If the price matched the quality that’s one thing, but paying that much money monthly for an overwhelmingly disappointing living experience is where it...

changing complaint because ve treat unfair for my poor English and health condicion. After almost 3years paying $1.890 on 2bedrooms apartament by the time I made this post we move to a 3bedrooms paying 100$ cheaper was like a dream turn out a nightmare. Before we move in I told/ask Leasing office I was worry about noise complaint because I have 3 health kids 8y 6y and 2y. they told me was expected a big family and neighbor will need to understand. right after first MAINTENANCE REQUEST I show maintenance guys my subfloor SQUEAKYING aand also some kind hole under carpet when plywood are broked. They ask me to call maintance call ask Stephanie to speak with Mike. she ask me why and I told her if they could come to check my subfloor. She told me your floor is FINE! because I got a really GOOD deal on apartament I decide don't say nothing more about it. after fill week's start comming noises complaints. after a couples report I did a meeting with Joan and decide install camera on my living room and both kids rooms. because cop was call to my home saying they got a fight noise report ( all my family was watching TV sit on sofa that.day) I told Joan about this cameras and ask her to try get TIME and DATE so we could check find there SOURCE of the PROBLEM and FIX. I got more noises complaints call and even I asking her about TIME and DATE she never gave me saying they didn't put on complaint TIME AND DATE but she could follow up and ask. After all this complains happen my kids start comming back from school LOCK then self in bedrooms to play tablet. my heart was broke see how they was doing after we call they attention couple times. my wife with her arms hurting to carry my lil one with 2years almost all day so he don't run. I tell my lil one 2y to dont run but if I ask 5 times he walk just 1 times. complaint was still comming but no TIME and DATE to check. she told me neighbor record one day I ask her to listen to understand what was the complaint she dont let.me listen saying was private only in court. but they record us why I can't hear the noise they complaint about us? I made a new meeting and told her about my subfloor situation making SQUEAKY NOISE when we just walking. after couples more complaint and meeting around 2or 3 she ask for Mike maintenance supervisor to check what they could do about my floor even ask him if they could put some insulation to help. since that meeting pass nobody check my subfloor yet (problably because over900 apartament it is understandable take some time She keep calling me saying they have new complaint. She could keep on hold at least until they check for sure Subfloor situation. She could be more racional link the dots and make a better judgment not keep stressing somebody who trying to fix the issue with her even install caneras open my privacy to check better and be more fair Not stressing like that when I was waiting for them and respect a person in recovery of cancer taking 6medication antidepressions painkiller ... I dont party I don't drink I dont receive guest in home because this situation, even my kids friend we try avoid to come to play with my kids for this...
