Really great place for all the family especially safe for the kids to paddle in the water as the banks of the sands gradually decline. Great peaceful experience and something to check out when you go to the Big Island. Bring good supportive shoes (not sandals unfortunately) if you would want to walk along a good portion of the shoreline (where you will see sea turtles); there are a lot of lava rocks to walk on.
