Barbers Point Light is a lighthouse on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The lighthouse stands on Barbers Point outside of Kalaeloa on the southwest tip of the island. It is named after Captain Henry Barber. The lighthouse was established in 1888. A second tower was built in 1933.

Right on the beach, we parked at the near by beach entrance and walked on the shoreline towards the lighthouse. It’s right by a Luau place so you can hear their music and sometimes see the performances from the beach. Not the most picturesque drive to get here, but undoubtedly one of the best spots to catch the sunset on Oahu. The beach by the lighthouse is also really nice, with a nice wide stretch of soft sand. This is in a public accessible beach park and was perfect for a sunset! Yes it is in an industrial area, but there were plenty of people around and it’s right next to a luau so we never felt unsafe.
