Wonderful place to walk/hike/snorkel/swim in lava rock and kiawe trees.
VERY HOT! Take a lot of water if you intend to spend much time or go very far. A couple years ago I walked/hiked over 4 miles in and it can get rough if it’s sunny with no wind.
Be sure to wear very stable shoes, lots of uneven rocks and if you step on a kiawe thorn it will go through a flip flop like a hot knife through butter. Won’t feel good.

There is a single portable bathroom there but that is about it...

The road will definitely seem like you should not be driving on it between Kanahena Cove (excellent snorkeling spot) and here, but keep driving carefully and there will be a small parking lot. Get out and go for a stroll, hike, or just enjoy the...
